Sill and track

After window cleaning

It isn’t only the glass.

The grime that builds up along the sill and down in the track is the part you stop seeing, and the part that shows in a photograph. It comes off with the glass, in this order, on every window.

  1. Wash the glass and the sill
  2. Squeegee, then dry the edges
  3. Remove, wipe and replace screens

Our own photo, unretouched. One window before and after; the camera shifted a little between the two frames, so compare the sill rather than the framing.

Counted first. Then cleaned by hand.

The glass is the easy part. Most of this is agreeing the scope before the day.

  1. Tell us how many, and whether you want the insides

Window count, screens, how many storeys, and inside, outside or both. That is what the price is built from, and the estimate confirms it.

  2. We work around your day

Residential or commercial. We agree access, where the ladders go and what needs moving before we start, so the visit doesn’t take over the house.

  3. Pane by pane, then a look in daylight

Glass and sill washed, squeegeed, edges dried, screens out and back in. Then we check it from outside in the light, which is where the misses show.

Rates are a starting point. Your written estimate confirms the footage and the rate that applies. The printed tiers overlap around the 250 ft mark, so the measurement decides. Comparison figures are typical market rates of $4.00–$8.00 per foot, not quotes from named competitors.
